My colleague, Marguerite Frarey, LCSW, and I run a monthly, free/pay-what-you-can, EMDR drop-in group.

We offer this group because we want to offer trauma therapy that is accessible to all, because healed people make up healed communities, and healed communities create healed societies.

The Details

We host two different types of drop-in group sessions: Stabilization sessions and Reprocessing sessions. You must first attend a Stabilization session in order to attend a Reprocessing session. Once you’ve attended a Stabilization session, you are able to attend as many Reprocessing sessions as you’d like.

Stabilization sessions are held once every other month on a Friday evening, 6:30-8pm. Stabilization sessions are aimed at increasing attendees’ coping skills and resources so that they are better able to cope with a Reprocessing session. You can attend a Stabilization session without ever intending to attend a Reprocessing session.

Reprocessing sessions are held monthly on a Friday evening 6:30-8pm. Reprocessing sessions are when trauma reprocessing occurs. This is when attendees focus on a specific traumatic event. We ask that you determine which event you'd like to reprocess before attending a Reprocessing session. These sessions are more intense than Stabilization sessions.
